Parts 3 && 4 Final Flash Project

My  flash animation title is CDP Designs & Photography Digital Portfolio. I was going to do a click through album type project but i guess i was in a little to over my head and have been having computer issues that make it so i can only use the programs for a couple minutes at a time before my computer would freeze.

Summary: to summarize this project i would have to say that it is a slideshow type animation which displays my work and transitions from slide to slide on its own. its effective because its easy just click play and itruns on its own.

Design competition

A brief summary of this design competition is entering photographs into the communication arts photography competition. You can choose from any different genre in the group. the group that i intend on entering into is unpublished category. I plan on taking a series of photos an making them look like poloroids.
The two types of programs that i plan on using for this competition is adobe photoshop and adobe illustrator. Photoshop i plan on using to edit photos and i will use illustrator to turn it into a poloroid.

You can send in printed samples but they also want you to send in digital files on a DVD files to be saved as RGB the maximum of 1024px wide and 768px high and 72 dpi.

Storyboard



The title for my project is an online portfolio. The way that it works is when you first come to the animation you will have a simple page where you will have to click to enter to come to the area where the albums will be. When you come to the albums you simply click on the album that is yours so that you can go to the click through page where you can click either arrow to proceed or go back. Also on the click through page there is a exit button that will take you right back to the albums page.

My flash project isgoing to be a digital portfolio which people will be able to click through and see the albums they will be able to click back and forth and will be able to exit to go back to the begginning.

Website Finished

Here it is i like it better done then when i had in ny sketches. I really love how things look when they come to like in these programs. I used photoshop entirely to make this i like to use photoshop to make sites because its easier to me. The reason why i chose to design my site this way is simply simplicity. i dont like sites where you basically have to take a long time trying to find something that should be out in the open and ready for you. When designing this i had to use a variety of tools to accomplish this from simple tools to use such as the text tool to other tools like placing photos and utilizing layers. Hope you like my design!

Website Sketches

 

I decided that i wanted to do a website to showcase my work as well as promote my business that i plan on starting up in the future. I have decided i will use the colors black , white and purple. (sorry about the different color of markers) I want to make a site that is appealing to the eye and also very functional which will cut out alot of time needed fromme to do things such as customers creating their own appointments, and paying in advance. I also will have the area where customers can view their photos at their own leisure.

Magazine Spread Final

 

The reason why i chose the empire state building to empasize art deco is because one of the main components of art deco is architecture. I love the empire state building i feel like it is one of the top beautiful buildings and i feel that there are so many great shots of it.

Magazine Spread Assignment

These are my sketches for my magazine cover and spread. When i looked up art deco it talked about art deco being about a bunch of areas of design and the area of design i chose was architecture. I decided to use the empire state building as the focus of my creative project. The cover design is below.

 

 

 

 

 

For the actual spread its self i decided to do a filmstrip of pictures of the building inside and out. Also i like the idea of blocked text along the bottemof the page and having the title of the spread above the filmstrip.

 

 

Sorry the photos are so blurry left my camera somewhere and didnt have it so had to use my phone.

 

 

My Artist Statement.

Art takes many forms whether it be painting, drawing, reading, writing, by hand or even digitally. When I started to think about what art meant to me and how i myself am an artist in the beggining i didnt even realize what i was doing was art. In the begginning i only thought art was drawing & painting. I didnt realize that there are many more ways to be an artist.

I am a digital artist, i love to make invitations, fliers, anything to do with working on adobe programs. My second love is photography i feel like with a camera in my hands i can do anything in this world. I love capturing those special moments and things that are beautiful to me that others might not see the way that i do.

The only thing that i hope happens with my art is that someone can see what i do and see and feel how i do with one little look.
